Rabbit Vaccinations
We recommend that all pet rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis and viral haemorrhagic disease (variants 1 and 2). Since summer 2020 the best way of providing this protection has been a single annual vaccination that protects against all three of these viruses with one shot.
Because these viruses can be transmitted by insects such as fleas, ticks and mosquitos as well as through direct contact, both indoor and outdoor rabbits are at risk and should be vaccinated.
